Before 2015 is over, here are 15 things you need to do to your house:

1. Get rid of the beige walls. Beige was in, now it’s gray. Gray is estimated to be popular for awhile now.

2. Make a change. Change your countertops. Convert your recreation room to a theater room.

3. Make small changes. Walk through your house and make a list of things that need to be updated. Paint the bathroom, take new family pictures, add a mud room so there’s not clutter everywhere.

4. Splurge on something large. Update the television in your theater room. Look around your house and identify where you could use a high-quality piece.

5. Splurge on something you don’t need. A statement piece of furniture? A vibrant rug? It will lift your space and put a smile on your face every time you walk past it.

6. Plant something. Nice landscape is key for adding curb appeal to your home. Plant flowers around your porch or walkway.

7. Add plants on the interior. Adding plants to the inside of your home can help improve the air quality and reduce stress.

8. Update lighting. Replace an old light fixture with something new and bright!

9. Clean out your pantry. Canned goods that haven’t expired yet are still good to eat — but if you know you won’t use them, donate them to a food bank.

10. Clean out your garage. Get rid of unnecessary junk that found its way there.

11. Declutter your piles. Everybody has a pile or drawer that they throw their junk. Declutter and organize it — you will feel better.

12. Learn a new skill. Learn how to build an ottoman or install a backsplash!

13. Get techy. Check out thermostats and home security systems that you can program and view from your phone.

14. Don’t be boring. If you really want to paint a wall red, paint it red! Try a home décor tip that you normally wouldn’t do.

15. Fall in love with your home again. If you aren’t feeling your home right now, change it, paint it, add something, remove something — make it you!
