Sharon, Wisconsin is a town in Walworth County home to over 1,500 residents. It is located on Highway 67 just one mile north of the Illinois border. The town is unique in that it has six bike routes and no stoplights.

Sharon has many recreational events for its residents to partake in: the Roun’ da Manure Bicycle Tour, Model A Day and A Victorian Christmas. The Roun’ da Manure is a full day of bike riding through the scenic countrysides of southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Model A Day is an event that takes place in the spirit of the 1920s and 1930s in which area residents dress up as gangsters and flappers and walk along Main Street. It aims to boost awareness about the area’s history with entertainment, food and architecture of the time period. A Victorian Christmas is the town’s holiday celebration that features a beautiful lighted horse-drawn carriage parade.

History
The area now known as Sharon was once a part of Delavan Township. In 1843, it separated to become its own entity. William Van Ostrand and a Mr. Southard were Sharon’s first settlers.
