Area-wide events for the whole family are held annually in Juneau. Juneau’s August Fest provides music, an antique tractor pull, food, prizes and an antique auto show. A farmer’s market is held on the Court House square every Friday from June to September. An area-wide rummage sale is also the scene for many residents to partake in.

History
Juneau was founded by Paul Juneau who was accidentally shot and killed. His death almost caused a Native American uprising. Juneau’s father was the founder of Milwaukee, Solomon Jones. Currently, Juneau is buried in the local cemetery.

Fact: Juneau was home to Addie Joss who has been distinguished one of the great pitchers in baseball history. Joss played for the Cleveland Naps from 1902 to 1911. The Community Center currently showcases a display honoring the former pitcher.
