Let’s face it, swinging doors take up a lot of space. A new, fun twist would be a sliding barn door which frees up storage and design flexibility. Barn doors are a wonderful solution for locations where a swinging door would infringe on space, or where you want to make a big visual impact.
Not only could you use them for the entrance to the bathroom, but maybe you want to keep your commode separate. In this case a barn door is a stylish, modern way to separate two spaces. Or possibly you would like to use it as a bedroom door, closet door, pantry doors or even sliding French doors, the possibilities are endless!
It would also be a great DIY project for someone looking for a relatively inexpensive undertaking. Finding reclaimed wood, staining or painting it yourself will all help cut down on costs. They have even created barn door kits because the trend has become so popular! Kits are of course more expensive but everything you would need would be in one place.
