One way to know summer is on its way is to see the art fair season start around Wisconsin and Illinois. One of the first fairs that I have been to in the past and have really enjoyed is at the Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair at Sunset Park, 747 N. Third Avenue in Sturgeon Bay. It will be May 28th through 29th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Click here for more information.
There is food available as well, but don’t forget the wonderful restaurants and other stores in the downtown area (my favorite being Monticello on Jefferson). It is a great store to find fine clothing, designed jewelry, books which you may not see or notice at large bookstores, and so much more. Make sure and plan to stay the day or stay at one of the many small hotels in the area, with it being Memorial Day weekend, maybe stay the whole weekend and visit the other towns in the Door County area. As always, let me know how your trip went and what other exciting treasures you find!
