Summer 2020 Update From Shorewest Leadership

We have experienced a spring like no other. The real estate market started out strong when we were hit by a pandemic that caused many people to hit the pause button. Having 74 years of experience, we knew it was time to adapt and raise our game. With the safety of our team and clients as our top priority, we marshaled our resources to create ways to help our clients achieve their goals. Our team used video conferencing and social media to conduct virtual showings. They leveraged electronic contracts and earnest money transfers to minimize physical contact while providing detailed information. We provided personal protective equipment and stepped up safety measures in all of our offices. Curbside closings became a new option to ensure social distancing when it was time to consummate the transaction. We are proud of our team and their dedication to guiding those that needed to move over the past few months.

In June the market came roaring back. Sales volume was up 27% in June with buyers returning to the market in force to take advantage of interest rates near 3%. In fact over 81% of listings taken in May and June by Shorewest REALTORS®, had an accepted offer by the end of June. We expect summer to be an outstanding time for those who choose to list their home.

We are also excited to share some more good news. Our real estate family grew in May when we joined forces with Door County Realty and their highly respected team. There are now two Shorewest Offices serving the entire Door peninsula.
