When is a Commission Due?

Real estate agents are paid a commission when they help you sell a home. They receive a commission based on the home’s price after the sale has been completed. A contract will be signed by the seller and listing agent in the beginning of the selling process, stating a fixed commission that the agent will receive if they sell the property during the period of the listing contract.

This informational video provides key points on different scenarios on when and if the listing agent will be paid their commission. If you still have questions, talk to your Shorewest, REALTOR®!
