Shorewest, REALTORS® congratulates our very own Mary Steinke (Lake Country Office) on receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Greater Milwaukee Association of REALTORS® (GMAR).
The GMAR consists of nearly 4,000 real estate professionals throughout southeastern Wisconsin. The association focuses on government affairs, ethics enforcement and listing services.
Mary Steinke has been part of the Shorewest family for over 50 years. She joined Shorewest’s Brookfield Square Shopping Center Office on March 18, 1968. Early in her career, Mary often brought her five young children along to showings. As a hard-working mom, she was passionate about helping families find a home.
Her leadership skills were quickly recognized. In 1970 she was appointed the Sales Director of the Oconomowoc Office, making her the first woman sales director at Shorewest, REALTORS®. Steinke nurtured and grew the Lake Country Office for 28 years before transitioning back into sales with her husband, Brian. (Brian passed away earlier this year – her granddaughter is now working with her). Today, the pair continues to support the Lake Country and Kettle Moraine communities with their award-winning services.
Making a house a home is something Mary Steinke truly lives by. She and Brian moved 15 times in 11 years early in their marriage. This gave her a true appreciation of what home really means. Over the past 50 years, the couple has opened their home to friends, family and anyone needing a comfortable place to stay while they got back on their feet. Mary’s passion has always been faith, family, and community. We are thrilled to congratulate Mary Steinke on earning this Lifetime Achievement Award.
