If it’s just not Christmas in your home without a fresh tannenbaum, here’s a list of places throughout Southeastern Wisconsin that can help you find the perfect tree.

Most places offer the opportunity to choose and cut your tree or purchase a pre-cut tree. But, of course, we recommend you call ahead with specific questions.

Starting Nov. 27, open Friday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and are closed on Mondays, through Dec. 22. Balsam, Canaan and Fraser Fir, as well as Scotch Pine trees. Free shaking and bailing. Stop by weekends for free hot drinks, children’s crafts, face painting and surprise visits from Santa. Make time for a scenic walk along the creek.

The venerable Kellner Greenhouses, 3258 N. Humboldt Ave., in Riverwest is a fun, neighborhood stop for trees, wreaths and more. From Nov. 25 to Dec. 20, drive up and they’ll tie your tree nicely to the top of your car. Stop at Colectivo, right up the street, for a hot chocolate. It’s a great Milwaukee day.

Offering choose-and-cut Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir, Concolor Fir, Blue Spruce, Scotch Pine and White Spruce. Pick up your holiday wreath and boughs, and enjoy a hayride to the cutting fields and refreshments while your tree is baled and loaded for free.

There are also a number of Christmas tree pop-up “shops” around town, including Callister’s Christmas at Brookfield Square and Mayfair Malls.
